Rabat – Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar has renewed concerns about the situation in Gaza as well as the occupied West Bank amid the continued Israeli aggression targeting civilians.
Varadkar ruled out Israeli claims that the aggression is part of its self-defense approach, stressing that the occupation forces’ actions amount to “something approaching revenge.”
Although he appeared supportive of Israeli attacks targeting the resistance movement Hamas, Varadkar said that what is happening in Gaza is not “just self defense.”
“What I’m seeing unfolding at the moment isn’t just self defense. It looks like something more approaching revenge,” he said during his visit to Korea.
Israeli occupation forces continue their ruthless shelling targeting residential buildings, places of worship, shelters, as well as schools and hospitals.
On Friday, Palestinian news agency Wafa said that an unconfirmed number of Palestinian civilians were killed while many others were injured last night during an Israeli genocide campaign.
The airstrikes and artillery bombardment targeted Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City. A series of intense airstrikes also targeted neighborhoods in the city, killing several Palestinians while injuring others.
The number of people confirmed killed in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank has increased to over 9,100, while over 24,000 people were injured.
