Rabat – Moroccan car manufacturer Neo Motors is putting the finishing touches on its first Moroccan-made car, named “Neo,” set to hit the national market this month.

Founder and CEO of Neo Motors Nassim Belkhayat said that the vehicle represents the first Moroccan automotive brand entirely designed and manufactured by local talents, using a domestic automotive production system.

In an interview with SNRT News, Belkhayat said that the initial phase of the commercial introduction of the car will involve deliveries to customers who placed orders between March and April.

He noted that the company has received more than 200 orders for the locally manufactured vehicle.

What sets Neo apart is its vibrant color options, each paying homage to various Moroccan cities, Belkhayat highlighted.

For instance, the yellow variant represents the radiant hues of Fez’s houses and buildings, while the red version is a nod to Marrakech, famously known as the “Red City.”

The green option pays tribute to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, while the white one is inspired by Ifrane’s snowy landscapes.

A special edition in the “Moussem” color, paying tribute to the historic Green March, was also presented to King Mohammed VI.

Belkhayat noted that the price for the car will range from MAD 175,000 for the 3-cylinder engine model to MAD 185,000 for the 4-cylinder engine variant.

The “Neo” car boasts a convertible roof and a spacious 350-liter trunk, along with a comprehensive set of features. The production hub is based in the industrial unit established by Neo Motors in Ain Aouda, within the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region.
