Rabat – Israel’s genocidal war against Palestinians has massacred over 11,000 people in Gaza since October 7.
The horrific and alarming death toll was confirmed by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, which said that the number includes at least 4,500 children.
The ministry said the death toll surged to at least 11,200 in both Gaza and the occupied West Bank, with over 29,500 individuals wounded.
“As of October 29, said the ministry, it’s been reported that approximately 2,700 Palestinians, including at least 1,500 children, are missing, who may be trapped or dead under the rubble,” the Wafa news agency said.
The Israeli massacres come amid international inaction to put pressure on Israel to agree on an immediate ceasefire.
Instead, the US has touted a four-hour daily pause, which Israel reportedly agreed to on Thursday.
Despite the claims, converging reports have confirmed the ongoing shelling and heavy bombardment of Gaza by Israeli occupation forces overnight and today, targeting hospitals and shelter locations.
Al Jazeera also reported on Israeli tanks surrounding several hospitals in Gaza as they continue to cope with the Israeli blockade that has blocked humanitarian aid and essential resources from reaching the region.
Al Jazeera said that the number of hospitals that have stopped functioning since the beginning of Israeli aggression reached 21, with the attacks also damaging more than 50% of housing units across Gaza.
The UN Humanitarian Office reiterated its concerns about the situation, describing North Gaza as a “hell on earth.”
“If there is a hell on earth, it is the north of Gaza,” spokesman for the Coordination of Humanitarian Office Jens Laerke said today.
