Rabat – “We would have liked to see much more comprehensive measures, namely VAT neutrality, broadening the tax base to include the informal sector,” Chakib Alj, President of the Moroccan Confederation for Businesses said on Friday.
Speaking on the sidelines for a press conference, Alj explained that promoting the Made-in-Morocco label requires a clearer vision of custom duties.
“We need Moroccan companies to be much stronger, much more resilient, and much more competitive so that they can create more jobs, more investments, and make our economy more prosperous in order to precisely absorb all these burdens,” he added.
