Rabat – The Indian Embassy in Morocco held on December 7th the ITEC DAY, an annual celebration that honors the efforts deployed by the institution and the Indian government in capacity building worldwide.
Trainees of different programmes were welcomed by the Indian Ambassador in Rabat Shri Rajesh Vaishnaw.
The gathering was an opportunity to celebrate numerous trainees’ course completion, share learning experiences, and build networks.
Special ITEC courses have been organized for Moroccan participants covering subjects such as deep learning, cyber security, water resource management, and learning and teaching technologies, among others.
Through the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC), the Indian Embassy has been providing capacity building courses both on-site and online. Today, ITEC courses are extremely popular in Morocco, with a record number of 264 participants from the country in the 2022/23 season.

India and Morocco have strong and old relations which began in the 14th century, when the famous Moroccan traveler and writer Ibn Battuta visited India.
Ever since, the diplomatic ties between the two countries have grown tighter with several visits from high-level officials. Bilateral trade between India and Morocco also reached $3.6 billion in 2022-23.
The growing cooperation between the two states addresses information technology, agriculture, and renewable energy, among other vital sectors, with the Indian Embassy in Rabat offering flagship training programs to Moroccan professionals in diverse fields and disciplines.
