Rabat – Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami represented King Mohammed VI today in Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires at the official inauguration ceremony of the new Argentina President, Javier Milei.
The ceremony took place at the Congress headquarters with the presence of the Spanish King Felipe VI, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in addition to a group of delegations representing a number of countries.
In a statement to the local media, Alami said that the inauguration ceremony served as an opportunity to congratulate, on behalf of King Mohammed VI, Javier Milei on his election as the new president of Argentina.
He also underscored Morocco’s readiness to develop ties between Rabat and Buenos Aires at all levels.
In a congratulatory letter to Milei in November, King Mohammed VI highlighted the warm ties that exist between the two countries, stressing that this relation is founded on “strong friendship and mutual appreciation.”
The monarch also expressed his eagerness to collaborate with the newly elected president in order to strengthen bilateral ties and expand it in a number of areas of shared interest.
