Morocco’s television and theater industry lost one of the iconic faces today. Boujamaa Oujou, known for his role as “Ba Azizi,” died in Casablanca at the age of 83. He gained widespread fame thanks to an impressive number of appearances in movies and television shows.
The iconic actor started his career in the world of theater early in his early life, where he collaborated with Moroccan actors and artists including Bashir Laalaj.
He also collaborated with renowned names in Morocco’s art scene, including Bouchaib El Bidaoui, known for his Aita art, a traditional folklore music that originates from the Moroccan countryside.
The actor is also known for his comic scenes and also his famous tea attire, with his red tarbouche (Moroccan traditional hat) and white djellaba..
