Rabat – As the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) continues to boast thrilling matches with high-level football prowess, Gambia and Cameroon will face-off at the Bouake Stadium in Cote d’Ivoire.
The game will kick off at 6 p.m. Moroccan Time and will be broadcast on Sky Sports Football and streamed on the Sky Go application.
The game holds extra weight, as neither team had a positive AFCON start.
Gambia lost both of its previous games to the defending champion Senegal 0-3 and Guinea 0-1. Two losses at such competitions indicate a potential disqualification, pending upcoming results of other teams in the same group, especially if the scores are very similar.
Cameroon, debuted this year’s AFCON edition with a draw against Guinea 1-1 and a loss to Senegal 1-3, which did not prove a successful start for the five-time champion deemed the second most successful team in Africa.
Nevertheless, there is still a sign of hope for Cameroon to move to the round of 16, providing that they win their third match against Guinea by a large margin.
The Group C standings have Senegal in the lead with six points, Guinea with four, Cameroon with one, and Gambia with zero.
