Fez – South Africa is set to clash with Nigeria in the semi-finals at the pinnacle ending of ongoing AFCON 2023, held this year in the Cote d’Ivoire.
The much-awaited match between two of Africa’s greatest football nations is scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m. Moroccan time, at Stade Bouake in Cote d’Ivoire.
Viewers from all over the world can stream the game live via beIN Sports, CRTV, Canal+, SuperSport, Sky Sports, and the SkyGo app.
The game will also be shown for free via the BBC Sport and iPlayer portals.
Predicting website Football Whispers puts Nigeria as the expected winner of the game by 61.1%. Nevertheless, South Africa have defied the odds before to get to this pivotal semi-final and therefore cannot be underestimated.
“Nigeria (was) one of the pre-tournament favorites, therefore, it is not a surprise to see the Super Eagles reaching this stage of AFCON 2023, but South Africa (was) never expected to be one of the contenders and their mostly home-based squad has worked wonders to reach the Semi-Finals”, the website added.
The whole world watched as South Africa defeated Morocco 2-0 in the pivotal Round of 16 match, exiting the favorited Atlas Lions from the competition in a smash-and-grab performance in San Pedro last Wednesday.
The AFCON is set to conclude this year’s edition at the end of this week with the final match scheduled for February 11.
