Rabat –  The Abla Ababou Gallery in Rabat in Rabat will be filled with the latest works from renowned Moroccan artists, Fouad Chardoudi, during an upcoming exhibition running from February 16th to April 16th.

Titled “Peregrinations,” the exhibition showcases a prevailing theme of abstraction and transparency.

“Peregrinations” refers to “journey” or “series of travels,” suggesting that the exhibition’s abstract and translucent features may lead visitors on a visual tour of the artworks.

According to the press release issued by the gallery, Chardoudi is renowned for his unwavering commitment.

The artist is always experimenting with different hues and textures in an attempt to create the perfect piece of art; one that captures the viewer’s imagination and eliminates all uncertainties.

“Standing before a Fouad Chardoudi painting, one is drawn into a mesmerizing blend of colors and shapes. The eye navigates through a world of abstraction, now characterized by the prevalence of transparency and soft pastel tones. A new blue is omnipresent,” describes the press release, illustrating the depth and creativity inherent in the artist and his oeuvre.

With almost twenty years of experience, Chardoudi is a legendary figure in Moroccan contemporary art.

The creative heritage of Fouad Chardoudi is featured in several museums and cultural centers across Europe and the Arab world.

Balancing his life between Rabat – his place of work, and Sale – where he was born, he navigates between  his painting studio and his poetic endeavors.

The contemporary art space Abla Ababou is nestled in the heart of Souissi, the residential district of Rabat.

More than just a gallery for contemporary art,, Abla Ababou is primarily a unifying space open to all forms of artistic creation.

With its nearly 200 square meters of sleek architecture built to international standards, museum-like lighting, and ceilings reaching over five meters in height, it is a prime space available for all kinds of cultural events.
