Marrakech – In Malaysia, Ramadan 2024 will commence on Monday, March 12.
The country’s crescent sighting committee announced that it was impossible to see the moon of Ramadan tonight and therefore March 12 is the first day of the holy month.
With the official start of Ramadan just days away, Malaysia stands poised to embrace this sacred period with open hearts and minds.
Preparations are in full swing in mosques, households, and community centers throughout the nation.
According to Islam Finder, Muslims in Kuala Lumpur are expected to observe a fasting period lasting around 13 hours this year.
This period will begin with suhur at 6:12 am and conclude with iftar at 7:26 pm.
With the commencement of Ramadan, Malaysians are set to immerse themselves in acts of worship, charity, and self-reflection.
Mosques will host nightly prayers, known as Taraweeh, where congregants recite the Quran and engage in spiritual reflection.
Families will come together to share meals and strengthen bonds, while communities will organize charitable initiatives to support those in need.
