Ramadan in Gulf countries is as unique as in the rest of the Arab world.
In Qatar, the country’s locals decorate streets with colorful lamps while festivities, charities, and family gatherings emerge.
Government website Visit Qatar said that the holy month also marks “plenty” of events that take place across the country.
Hotels and restaurants will also hold celebrations to commemorate Ramadan vibes, Visit Qatar.
Ramadan is when Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, abstaining from food, drinks, smoking, and any intimate activities.
During fasting hours, chewing gums and taking medicines are also prohibited.
Only people with chronic diseases, including diabetes are allowed to take prescribed drugs and are often advised not to fast.
