Rabat – Princess Lalla Meryem, President of the Social Welfare of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), led on Friday the Administration Council of the Social Welfare of the FAR.
The meeting aimed to review and discuss various aspects related to the Social Welfare of the FAR to ensure the effective functioning and support of its programs and initiatives.
Upon her arrival at the headquarters of the General Staff of the FAR in Rabat, the princess was welcomed by the Corps General, Inspector General of the FAR, Commander of the Southern Zone, and Deputy President of the Administration Council of the FAR’s Social Welfare. She went on to review a detachment of the FAR General Headquarters Battalion.
The princess was then greeted by the members of the Administration Council of the FAR’s Social Welfare, according to a statement from the General Staff of the FAR.
During the meeting, the Major-Colonel, Head of the General Directorate of Social Services, reported on the balance sheet of the various services provided during the past year, for the benefit of the beneficiaries of the FAR’s Social Welfare.
This includes the support services for peacekeeping operations, pilgrimage, and participation in the “Marhaba” operation to welcome Moroccans Residing Abroad (MRE).
This action plan also included medical-social services for the support and accompaniment of people with disabilities and parents of autistic children, as well as solidarity and relief measures taken to support the victims of the Al Haouz earthquake.
At the end of the ceremony, the Council examined the moral and financial report, as well as the action plan for the years 2024-2026, before approving the budget necessary for its implementation.
The meeting was attended by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in Charge of National Defense Administration, the Corps General, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the Southern Zone, the Corps General, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, and the members of the Administration Council of the FAR’sSocial Welfare.
