Morocco’s Zakaria El Jamari will look to put his first ONE Championship loss behind him when he makes his second appearance in the world’s largest mixed martial arts organization this May.
El Jamari will take on Thai star Thongpoon PK Saenchai in a strawweight Muay Thai bout on Saturday, May 4 at ONE Fight Night 22.
The 34-year-old Moroccan will be looking for his first ONE Championship win after a debut loss to Russia’s Ali Saldoev in March at the organization’s inaugural event in Qatar.
Despite an encouraging start to the fight, El Jamari suffered a second round knockout loss to the debuting Russian in their catchweight Muay Thai bout at the Lusail Sports Arena.
Thongpoon presents another stern test for El Jamari, as the Thai star remains unbeaten in five fights since making his promotional debut in March 2023.
The show kicks off at midnight on Saturday, May 4 and will be broadcast live across the MENA region on beIN SPORTS.
