Eid Al Fitr is a joyful celebration that brings a unique atmosphere among Muslim communities across the world.
The celebrations begin with morning prayers followed by a giant morning breakfast, the first for a whole month, that includes sweets, as well as the famous msemn (flat bread) and Moroccan pancakes, called baghrir.
Moroccan children also wear new clothes and receive either gifts or money.
During the day, Moroccans exchange visits and also share lunch for the first time following a month-long period of fasting
The food served during Eid differs from one family to another. While some prefer couscous, others prefer to cook the famous savory tagine, either with lamb or chicken.
