At least 11 children were killed today in a new massacre carried out by Israeli occupation Forces in the al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Aljazeera reported today that the new aggression took place within the last 45 minutes after a drone fired missiles at a group of people.
A group of children were in the area at a playground set up near the camp, hosting displaced families.
Dozens of injuries were killed, with eyewitnesses describing the situation as a “horrific scene of children torn apart.”
New data from UNICEF said that one child in Gaza is killed or injured every 10 minutes.
The data further said that at least 70 children are injured every day during the Israeli devastating war, noting that at least 12,000 children have been wounded since October 7.
Tens of thousands of children have also been killed.
As of October 7, the IOF have killed more than 33,843 civilians and injured 76,575 others.
Israel has consistently insisted that its murderous Gaza campaign was in retaliation for Hamas’s surprise attack on northern Israeli kibbutzim on October 7 last year. During the shock attack, which took the Israeli military off guard, Hamas is estimated to have killed 1,139 and kidnapped hundreds.
As the Al Jazeera report noted, however, the asymmetric war that Israel presents as a retaliatory attack to “defeat” Hamas has increasingly turned into a murderous, genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
But despite a growing global outcry over the unspeakable human and material toll of its vengeful war on Gazans, the Israeli government has repeatedly vowed to continue “fighting Hamas” until it achieves “total victory.”
