Rabat – Organizers of the Tamuda Bay Eco Triathlon 2024 unveiled on Thursday the event’s new features and initiatives during the official press conference held at the BYD Casablanca showroom.

The Tamuda Bay Eco Triathlon is an ecological and sustainable sporting event revolving around three disciplines: swimming, cycling, and running. This year, the event is set to take place from May 10 to 12

The event welcomes amateurs and professionals alike on a route between the Mediterranean and the Rif mountains.

Attended by media representatives, partners, and sponsors, Thursday’s conference provided a glimpse of the event, which organizers say will represent a milestone in eco-conscious sports competitions.

Speaking to Morocco World News (MWN) on the sidelines of the event, Otmane Benhlima, Tamuda Bay Eco Triathlon Director and Vice President of Amal Association, expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming event.

“We were happy to present the news to the media and also our partners. This year we will have more than 850 participants coming from 20 more different countries,” he told MWN.

The Tamuda Bay Eco Triathlon is more than a sports competition, the organizers said in a statement, describing it as a “beacon” of environmental commitment and sustainable development.

The triathlon is recognized as the top event of its kind in Africa and ranks among the top ten in the Mediterranean.
