Marrakesh – Singer Sherine Abdelwahab has leveled serious accusations against her ex-husband, composer Hossam Habib, alleging a brutal assault.

Egyptian authorities responded swiftly, arresting Habib on Saturday night as a result of the incident involving the renowned artist.

According to the LovinCairo news website, Sherine, covered in blood from her face to her feet, hurried to the nearest police station to formally report Hossam Habib.

The altercation reportedly stemmed from financial disputes, with Sherine accusing Habib of theft involving her phone and money.

Adding a twist to the tale, Habib has vehemently denied the allegations, claiming he was at the studio to intervene in a dispute between Sherine and her daughter.

The situation escalated when Habib contacted Sherine’s ex-husband, Mohamed Mostafa, further complicating matters at the scene.

Seeking to vindicate himself, Habib has urged the public prosecutor to hear testimony from Sherine’s daughter.

As reported by the News Directory 3 outlet, Sherin was admitted to New Cairo Specialised Hospital on Saturday morning at seven o’clock.

After a thorough examination, medical professionals identified injuries including a wound beside her right eye, a dorsal wound on her nose, a 3 cm-long incised wound on her head, a 1 cm-long incised wound on her thigh, alongside multiple bruises and scratches across her body.

Shereen’s private lawyer, Yasir Kantoush, and her official spokesperson confirmed in a press statement that the artist’s report filed against her ex-husband is not without merit.

According to the police report, Sherin was taken aback by Hossam Habib’s unexpected presence in her privately owned studio used for recording.

Allegedly, she confronted him about returning the money she invested in constructing the studio, but the situation escalated when he seized her phone and severely assaulted her, injuring her across her body.

The recent altercation between Shereen Abdel Wahab and Hossam Habib is not an isolated incident, as the couple has a history of frequent disputes.

Their turbulent relationship has often spilled over onto social media, drawing significant attention from the public.
