Rabat – Morocco’s national carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced today that it will launch a new direct flight connecting Casablanca to Toronto in December.
The airline will start serving the air route on December 8 with three frequencies a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
RAM will operate the flights through Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Commenting on the new air route, RAM’s CEO Hamid Addou said that this flight primarily responds to the high demand from Moroccans residing in Casablanca, particularly Ontatrio.
“It will significantly enhance the existing service offered by the airline, which has had the historic Casablanca-Montreal route since 1975 and currently operates two flights per day,” the airline’s chairman added.
The flights to Toronto and Montreal will provide “greater convenience and comfort “ for Moroccans living in Canada, Addou added, noting that the new route is part of the company’s development plan signed with the government in July 2023.
“It will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening economic relations between the two countries and boosting the tourism appeal of Morocco,” he concluded.
The flight will be the second direct route operated by Morocco’s airline to Canada, strengthening its network in the Americas.
RAM’s networks cover direct flights from Casablanca to Montreal, New York, Washington, Miami, and Sao Paulo.
