The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) said today that it has signed a partnership agreement with the OCP Group and a few other partners in the private sector to establish a special fund for financing, developing, and enhancing the training of emerging footballing talents.
The agreement aims to support national efforts to develop football and achieve excellence in this field, the FRMF said in a statement today, noting: “The collaboration between partners will focus on the development and modernization of training centers across the kingdom of Morocco.”
The agreement seeks to equip these centers with modern facilities, the statement added, stressing that the fund is based on an “economic model” focused on training high-level players and integrating them into professional teams.
It explained: “This will be achieved through the creation of a specialized company under the technical supervision of the National Technical Directorate of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.”
The statement concluded by stressing that the fund will finance the operational management of the training centers.
The agreement comes amid notable achievements in Morocco’s football landscape.
The success is reflected by Morocco’s recent performance at the Olympics, where the national team reached the semi-finals and secured a bronze medal.
It also followed Morocco’s historic accomplishment during the 2022 World Cup, where the country made headlines as the first Arab and African country to advance to the semifinals.
