Marrakech – The Africa Top Chefs Tournament in Marrakech kicked off with a Moroccan triumph, as the North African nation claimed the prestigious “Bocuse d’Or Africa” title on the first day.

Karim Rahal, CEO of Rahal group, addressed the audience, stating “We are proud of being Moroccans and African.”
“I can tell you that it’s not easy to organize an event at the national level. It’s even harder to organize a continental event. We dreamed, and thanks to God, today Morocco is hosting the Bocuse d’Or Africa,” he added, highlighting other events the North African country have organized, including the African Pastry Cup.
Mauritius secured second place, showcasing its vibrant fusion of food, which made a lasting impression on the judges.

Egypt took third, earning praise for its rich, centuries-old culinary traditions.

Ghana stood out at the Africa Top Chefs Tournament, earning the “Best Team Spirit” award.
