Rabat – The death toll due to the genocide launched in Gaza by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) since October 2023 is anticipated to rise further amid ongoing aggression and attacks against civilians.

Today, IOF targeted a residential home that is only steps away from the southern gate of the al-Aqsa Hospital, according to Al Jazeera.

“It started with air attacks on this residential building that’s only less than a mile away from the southern gate of the hospital,” Al Jazeera wrote, noting that at least six people were critically injured.

In the last 24 hours alone, IOF killed at least 33 Palestinians and wounded 67.

Beyond the relentless campaigns targeting civilians in Gaza, IOF also increased its attacks in the occupied West Bank.

Among the killed victims was a 16 year old girl, who was recently murdered in Jenin. In addition at least 16 people have been killed in the region by IOF since early this morning, medical sources told Al Jazeera.

Since October 7, IOF have injured 944,291 and killed at least 40,819 in Gaza, with the actual number expected to be higher as many civilians remain missing, presumed dead under the rubble. In fact, according to a July report by British journal The Lancet, the actual death toll could exceed 186,000.

This figure represents nearly 8% of Gaza’s population. For context, if compared to the total population of the United States, this would equal a death toll of 26 million.
