Marrakech – The festival is set to take over Rabat from November 20-23, with performances popping up across the city, in historical venues conveniently within walking distance of each other.

Led by Brahim El Mazned, who is also the artistic director of Timitar Festival of World Music, the event showcases every style of Moroccan music, making it a true cultural experience.

The festival’s core mission is to spotlight and promote Africa and the Middle East’s musical talents to European and Northern markets, boost artistic exchange, and contribute to the growth of cultural industries in these regions.

The Visa For Music (VFM) stage shines a spotlight on rising stars from Africa, the Middle East, Creole territories, and beyond, alongside renowned performers for the delight of eager audiences.

Each year, the VFM jury handpicks around 30 musical groups from over 1,000 applicants. In a 40-minute live showcase, artists deliver their best and most authentic performances.

Electro artists, including DJs and VJs, also get their time to shine during the after-midnight showcases.

The Afters”, gatherings held in partnership with sponsors, keep the festival energy alive each night for all four days.

These late-night events are perfect for mingling, enjoying the festival vibe, and making valuable connections between Moroccan and international professionals and artists.

Each evening brings DJ performances, ensuring the crowd stays on their feet and the party never stops.

Each year, the festival treats Rabat’s residents to a vibrant, free show featuring carnival artists from Africa and the Caribbean.

The historic city center of Hassan comes alive with a dazzling parade, adding a splash of African flair to the festival’s lineup.

Furthermore, VFM celebrates and honors exceptional individuals who champion cultural development, protect their heritage, and enhance the impact of their arts and traditions.

The festival wraps up with the Visa For Music Awards, a grand finale where artists selected by public vote are honored in five categories.

VFM is driven by ANYA, an independent cultural engineering organization based in Rabat.

Since its inception in 2014, ANYA has been dedicated to advancing cultural and creative industries, benefiting both artists and the broader community.
