Rabat – Air Arabia is set to launch a new direct route between Fez, Morocco, and Milan-Bergamo, Italy, enhancing travel options for both tourists and business travelers.

Scheduled to begin on December 15, 2024, the new service will operate twice a week—on Wednesdays and Sundays—providing increased flexibility for passengers.

In a statement, Air Arabia highlighted the cultural and historical significance of both destinations. Fez, known as Morocco’s spiritual capital and a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts a well-preserved medieval medina, rich in tradition and history.

Meanwhile, Bergamo’s fortified Città Alta, also a UNESCO site, offers a unique blend of medieval architecture and Italian charm.

“This route will not only open doors to cultural exploration but also foster economic ties between Morocco and Italy,” said the airline. The introduction of this service underlines Air Arabia’s growing commitment to connecting North Africa with key European cities.

The Fez-Milan route isn’t the only new connection Air Arabia is rolling out. Earlier this year, the airline announced several additional services, further expanding its reach across Europe.

On October 28, a direct route between Tangier, in northern Morocco, and Girona, Spain, will be launched, facilitating trade and tourism between Morocco and Catalonia.

Two days later, on October 30, a Tangier-Bordeaux route will commence, offering twice-weekly flights to one of France’s most iconic wine regions.

Air Arabia’s expansion continues with a new Tetouan-Lyon route, set to launch on October 29. The Tetouan-Lyon connection will operate one round trip per week, on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Meanwhile, the Tangier-Girona and Tangier-Bordeaux services will each offer two weekly flights, on Mondays, Thursdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays respectively.

With these new routes, Air Arabia is looking to position itself as a key player in bridging Morocco and Europe, catering to growing demand for efficient, cost-effective travel options between the two regions.
