Rabat – The Moroccan para-taekwondo team achieved a remarkable performance at the World Para-Taekwondo Championships in the Poomsae category (P), held on November 26-27 in Manama, Bahrain.

The team secured six medals, including four gold, one silver, and one bronze.

Gold medals were claimed by Ayoub Khandouch (P32), Bilal Khatabi (P30), Aya Bali (P33), and Bilal Sellami (P33), marking a dominant display of skill and determination.

Anouar Sellami (P32) added a silver medal to Morocco’s tally, while Nadia Rabi (P33) brought home bronze.

The event saw the participation of 140 athletes from 23 countries, showcasing high-level competition that demonstrates the growing prominence of para-taekwondo on the global stage.

Morocco’s exceptional performance in para-taekwondo reflects the athletes’ dedication and the nation’s efforts to promote inclusive sports.

This achievement not only strengthens Morocco’s global standing in para-taekwondo but also inspires future generations of athletes to excel.

The success builds on Morocco’s historic results at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, where the Paralympic team secured a record 15 medals, including 3 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze across para-athletics and para-taekwondo.

This surpassed the country’s previous best of 11 medals at Tokyo 2020 and raised Morocco’s all-time Paralympic medal count to 53 (19 gold, 17 silver, and 17 bronze) since its debut in 1988.
