El Jadida – The 19th edition of the “Salon International du Bâtiment” (SIB) is in full swing  at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center in El Jadida. Running until November 24, this exhibition has become a cornerstone event for the construction industry.

Focused on sustainability and innovation, SIB 2024 draws significant participation from both local and international stakeholders in the industry every year.

With over 1,500 brands and 50 countries participating, the exhibition provides a dynamic platform to showcase cutting-edge developments in construction technology.

Reda El Haddaj, General Commissioner of SIB, talked on the sidelines with Morocco World News (MWN) about the significance this event holds in the industry.

“The vision of organizing SIB is to create the largest building platform in Morocco and Africa. It brings together all Moroccan industrialists and construction sector stakeholders. This event is eagerly anticipated by exhibitors, visitors, real estate promoters, and all industry unions,” he said.

Among the standout exhibitors this year was the Suhail Global Company, a subsidiary of Suhail Industrial Holding Group from Qatar.

The company presented a range of smart construction technologies and eco-friendly solutions that address the growing demand for environmentally responsible construction.

A focus on green technologies and smart solutions

SIB 2024 is spotlighting green building innovations utilizing sustainable materials with energy-efficient systems and integrating renewable energies. These technologies are designed to reduce carbon footprints, enhance operational efficiency, and facilitate the creation of smart cities.

Suhail Global, alongside other companies, showcased ways in which their technology drives sustainable urban development within their exhibits. Visitors to Suhail’s pavilion engaged with live demonstrations of smart building systems that optimize energy consumption and contribute to creating resilient urban environments.

Leading the green revolution in construction

SIB 2024’s green focus aligned well with Suhail Global Company’s offerings.

The company’s solutions, such as advanced insulation materials, energy-efficient systems, and smart building technologies, are designed to improve energy performance while minimizing carbon emissions.

These innovations meet international sustainability standards while being tailored to the specific needs of Moroccan and regional markets.

“Our presence at SIB 2024 aims to introduce Suhail Global and Suhail Qatari Industrial Group to the market,” Amine Chacrone, geotextile manager at Souhail Global Company, said in an interview with MWN.

“The goal is to build recognition among colleagues and competitors.” The company’s eco-friendly materials, designed for long-term durability and energy efficiency, are part of a broader vision to revolutionize the construction industry and support global sustainability goals.

At the Suhail pavilion, interactive demonstrations showcased the company’s ability to integrate these innovations into large-scale projects, ranging from residential buildings to commercial developments.

Mohammed Sair, General Manager for Morocco and Africa, shared a statement with the press — including MWN— about the strategic importance of Suhail’s involvement in SIB 2024.

“This exhibition is an excellent opportunity to expand our network, form valuable international partnerships, and contribute to the sustainable development of the construction sector. As we continue to align with Qatar’s Vision 2030, we are proud to play a role in shaping the future of sustainable building practices,” he said.

Morocco as a strategic hub for regional growth

Positioned as a gateway between Africa and Europe, Morocco offers ideal opportunities for companies like Suhail Global to expand their reach and foster partnerships across these crucial markets.

Suhail’s participation in SIB 2024 not only shows Morocco’s growing international influence as a regional leader in sustainable construction, but also reinforces the company’s long-term strategy to contribute to the economic growth of the region.

By aligning with Morocco’s sustainable development goals, Suhail is positioning itself as a key player in the green building revolution set to rapidly expand across North Africa and beyond.

Shaping the future of sustainable construction

The SIB 2024 exhibition has become a landmark event for the construction industry, bringing together professionals, experts, and innovators from around the world to exchange knowledge and showcase the future of building technologies.

For Suhail Global Company, the event has provided an invaluable opportunity to demonstrate how innovation and sustainability can shape the future of construction.

With its unwavering commitment to sustainability and technological innovation, Suhail Global remains at the forefront of the industry, driving the transformation of urban environments and contributing to a more resilient, sustainable future.
