Rabat – Morocco is boosting its military defense system as the country seems to be expecting the delivery of a batch of US AH-64E Apache helicopters in the coming months.

New images of Morocco’s first batch of AH-64E Apache have emerged on social media platforms, showing the aircraft adorned with emblems of the country’s Royal Air Forces colors.

The North African country is set to reportedly imminently receive the sophisticated aircraft.

With the acquisition of these advanced helicopters, Morocco is taking a major step to further modernize its military capabilities.

The AH-64E Apache is widely recognized as one of the world’s most advanced attack helicopters.

The state-of-the-art aircraft boasts cutting-edge communication, navigation, detection, and weapons systems.

It is equipped with a modernized target acquisition and tracking system, providing all-weather, day-and-night target information and night vision navigation capabilities.

The AH-64E Apache’s fire control radar has been notably upgraded to operate in maritime environments, enhancing its ability to classify both ground and aerial targets.

This latest batch of high-caliber US-made military equipment is part of a $1.5 billion deal between Morocco and Boeing. Signed in 2020 for 24 AH-64E Apache helicopters, the agreement has an option to purchase 12 additional units.

The comprehensive package includes Hellfire missiles, rockets, advanced communication and navigation systems, maintenance equipment, as well as a training program for Moroccan personnel.

This acquisition aligns with Morocco’s broader vision to modernize its armed forces and enhance its defensive capabilities.

Military analysts note that the introduction of these helicopters will enhance Morocco’s position as one of the most well-equipped military forces in the region.

With the acquisition of these advanced attack helicopters, Morocco is looking to improve its ability to respond to various security challenges and protect its territorial integrity.
