Rabat — The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has signed a partnership agreement with Africa Global Logistics (AGL) to ensure transportation services during two upcoming sporting tournaments.
The global logistics giant is now CAF’s official logistics partner for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, both to be held in Morocco.
In a post on X, CAF said the partnership goes beyond sporting competitions. “This partnership reflects a shared vision: making football a catalyst for sustainable development across the continent,” the post read.
This comes as Morocco continues to invest efforts toward meeting international standards that will guarantee the smooth organization of the two continental tournaments.
The North African country also has more than 120 construction and renovation projects currently underway across six host cities.
Work includes revamping roads, improving access, signage, public lighting, pedestrian zones, as well as creating green spaces in the host cities.
2025 Africa Cup of Nations schedule
CAF unveiled on January 31 the match schedule for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The tournament will be the largest edition of the continental championship, with matches played in nine stadiums across six cities.
The competition will kick off with Morocco facing Comoros in Group A on December 21, 2025. This opening match will take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, which can accommodate 69,500 spectators — an ideal venue for the highly anticipated start.
Rabat will be the largest host city with four stadiums. Other matches will be played in Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier, with each city hosting games in one stadium.
Quarter-final matches will be held at the Prince Moulay Abdullah Sports Complex in Rabat, as well as stadiums in Tangier, Marrakech, and Agadir. The semi-finals will take place in Rabat and Tangier, while the third-place match will be played at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.
The tournament will feature 52 matches over 29 days, creating a football festival that showcases the skill and passion characteristic of African football.
Meanwhile, the 13th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco from July 5-26, 2025. South Africa is the current continental champion after winning the title on Moroccan soil in 2022.
