Morocco’s U20 side remain top of Group B after a 0-0 draw with Nigeria at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo.

The Atlas Cubs dominated possession and looked the more dangerous throughout, but couldn’t find a way past a well-organised Nigerian defence. Mohamed Ouahbi’s team had several promising chances, especially in the first half, yet lacked composure in front of goal.

Nigeria sat back and relied on counters, but rarely troubled keeper Yanis Benchaouch.

The second half saw more urgency from Morocco, but the end product was missing once again, as the final ball let them down.

The result leaves Morocco top with four points, ahead of Nigeria on goal difference. Tunisia are third with three points, while Kenya sit bottom with none.

Morocco face Tunisia next on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Moroccan time in their final group match.
