Rabat – Nigeria will take on Tunisia in their opening game as part of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) today.

The match will take place at 5 p.m. local time.

According to the African Football Confederation (CAF), fans seeking to watch the tournament have multiple choices.

People in Nigeria can watch the games through SuperSport, while  viewers in Tunisia can watch the games through beIN Sport

Tonight’s match marks the second time the two squads will meet during WAFCON.

The first encounter was at the 2008 tournament, resulting in a goalless draw.

“Nigeria have been African champions nine times—tied for the most continental titles globally with China (AFC) and the USA (CONCACAF),” CAF said, noting that Nigeria reached the semi-finals in all 12 of their previous appearances.

Nigeria is also the most successful country in WAFCON history, with several trophies, including in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018.

As for Tunisia, they reached the quarter-finals in their last appearance in 2022, with the 2025 edition marking the team’s third WAFCON appearance.

Many expect Nigeria to win tonight’s game.
