Tickets for Morocco’s World Cup qualifying match against Niger sold out in record time, with demand overwhelming the online booking system within just a few hours.

Sales opened at 8:00 am and more than 6,000 supporters were already in the queue. By 9:00 am, most categories were marked unavailable, leaving only Category 1, 2 and 3 options. The waiting list quickly swelled to 30,000 fans, and by 10:30 am it had reached nearly 60,000. At that point, all categories had gone dark, suggesting that all tickets released were possibly snapped up in less than three hours.

The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) confirmed the sales figures in a statement on Tuesday afternoon. It said fans had purchased:

  • 3,210 tickets in Category 1

  • 13,312 tickets in Category 2

  • 28,136 tickets in Category 3

  • 1,863 hospitality lounge tickets

  • 885 VIP tickets

  • 149 VVIP tickets

In addition, all 62 private Skyboxes were sold.

Prices ranged from MAD 100 ($10) for Category 3 seats to MAD 20,000 ($2,000) for Skyboxes. Premium categories such as hospitality, VIP and VVIP required physical collection at FRMF points, while standard categories will be delivered through the Webook app.

The match is set for Friday, 6 September, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, with an 8:00 pm kick-off. Every spectator, including children, must hold a valid ticket.

Inside the stadium, fans will be able to purchase official national team merchandise, jerseys and refreshments. The FRMF urged supporters to respect seat allocations and stadium rules, warning that breaches could lead to legal consequences.
