The alert warns of rainfall amounts ranging from 25 to 35 mm in the prefectures and provinces of Fes, Ifrane, Al Hajeb, Meknes, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Taza, Taounate, and Khemisset, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The same weather conditions are expected in the provinces of Ksar El Kebir, Driouch, Figuig, Jerada, Nador, Oujda-Angad, Taourirt, Berkane, and Boulemane from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Later in the day, the phenomenon is forecast to affect Ousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., according to the DGM.
At the beginning of this week, heavy stormy rains struck Al Haouz and Chichaoua provinces on Monday, triggering flash floods that inundated valleys and disrupted roadways.
Local sources reported that the floods in Al Haouz swept away several vehicles, particularly in the village of Amslan in the Imkdal commune. In Imentanout city, heavy rains turned streets and alleys into flowing waterways.
