Rabat — The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has announced that Morocco national futsal team will play two friendly matches against Spain on October 19 and 21 in Rabat. 

Both matches will start at 7 p.m., and will be played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Indoor Sports Hall, FRMF stated. These matches are part of a preparation phase for Morocco ahead of major competitions.

For Hicham Dguig, Morocco’s head coach, the friendly matches are an opportunity to test new systems, introduce new players and improve team cohesion.

Facing Spain – one of the top futsal European teams and a perennial FIFA Futsal World Cup contender –  will be a good benchmark for the African champions to measure their progress and competitive readiness.

The FRMF and local sports media have confirmed that these matches are also preparation for the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from November 7 to 21, 2025. So, these friendlies will be a good tune-up before that continental tournament.

The matches will be available for viewing on Arryadia TV, allowing fans to watch the “Atlas Lions” of futsal compete. The federation has not published the official squad list or ticketing information yet, but these will follow in terms of communication in the weeks ahead.

The two high-profile friendlies against Spain will be the jewel in the Moroccan futsal calendar  –  a great way to combine aspiration while reaffirming  Morocco as one of the top futsal teams in the world.
