Rabat – The Agency of Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif launched on Monday a new package of small support projects in several villages of the Jerusalem Governorate, aiming to provide stable sources of income for low-income families. The initiative is funded by the Moroccan Association for the Support of Reconstruction in Palestine.
The projects cover various sectors, including livestock and cattle farming, dairy and cheese production, sweets making, tailoring and embroidery, beauty and event services, as well as equipped multi-purpose kiosks.
Speaking at the event, In’am Zaiter, Acting Director-General of Public Affairs in the Jerusalem Governorate, said these initiatives are part of ongoing efforts “to support small and micro projects as tools to strengthen economic and social resilience.”
For his part, Dawood Jahaleen, Director of the Civil Peace Department in the governorate, expressed his appreciation for “the fruitful partnership between the Agency of Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif and the city’s institutions, both public and civil.”
Beneficiaries welcomed the initiative and described it as a valuable opportunity to own small productive projects that could improve their living conditions and enhance their ability to remain steadfast in their homeland.
Adel Qatmeera, who received equipment for party organization, said the assistance “will help me support my family of seven members. All thanks and appreciation to our brothers in Morocco for their sincere support.”
Khalida Odeh, who received children’s play equipment, said, “This small project, which reached us through the Agency of Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif, will have a big impact on improving our living conditions.”
Meanwhile, Tamam Awaisat, who benefited from equipment to make sweets, said the initiative came at the right time “to support the resilience of Palestinian families amid the difficult economic situation currently facing the governorate.”
The Agency of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif continues to implement social and development projects in Jerusalem and its surroundings, underlining Morocco’s consistent commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and strengthening their steadfastness.
