Rabat – King Mohammed VI has appointed several new Walis across Morocco. The appointments were announced during a ministerial council that the monarch chaired today in Rabat.
The appointees include Khalid Ait Taleb, who will take office as the Wali of the Fez-Meknes region and governor of Fez prefecture.
Khatib El Hebil is appointed as the Marrakech-Safi region governor and governor of the Marrakech prefecture, while Hassan Zitouni will serve as the governor of the Azilal province.
The full list of the 15 appointees includes:
1- Khatib El Hebil, Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, Governor of Marrakech prefecture
2- Khalid Ait Taleb, Wali of the Fez-Meknes region, Governor of Fez prefecture
3- Mhamed Atfaoui, Wali of the Oriental region, Governor of Oujda-Angad prefecture
4- Fouad Hajji, Governor of Al Hoceima province
5- Hassan Zitouni, Governor of Azilal province
6- Sidi Saleh Daha, Governor of El Jadida province
7- Abdelkhalek Marzouki, Governor of Casablanca-Anfa prefecture
8- Mohamed Alami Ouaddan, Governor of Zagora province
9- Mustapha El Maaza, Governor of Al Haouz province
10- Rachid Benchikhi, Governor of Taza province
11- Mohamed Zhar, Governor of Inezgane-Aït Melloul prefecture
12- Mohamed Khalfaoui, Governor of Fahs-Anjra province
13- Zakaria Hachlaf, Governor of Chefchaouen province
14- Abdelaziz Zerouali, Governor of Sidi Kacem province
15- Abdelkrim Ghannami, Governor of Taounate province
King Mohammed VI also appointed Tarik Senhaji as the President of the Moroccan Capital Market Authority.
During the same council today, King Mohammed VI listened to a presentation from the Minister of Economy, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, who outlined the 2026 Finance Bill axis.
The minister emphasized that the finance bill aims to accelerate the implementation of the “Emerging Morocco” projects to achieve national development, combining social justice and integrated local development that seek to benefit the entire population.
