Rabat – FIFA has officially broken a Guinness World Record by organizing a football featuring players from 69 different nationalities.
The historic event took place on Wednesday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Morocco.

The previous record was held by the British organization Equal Playing Field, which brought together 53 nationalities in a single exhibition match back in 2019.
FIFA’s new record reflects the global nature of football and the organization’s commitment to inclusion and diversity.
The match was played indoors at the Mohammed VI Complex and included FIFA staff members from various departments, especially those working in development and training programs across member associations. It was not a competitive fixture but a symbolic event celebrating unity through sport.
The Mohammed VI Football Complex is one of the most advanced sports facilities in Africa. Built on a 29.3-hectare site and it was opened in December 2019, it features modern infrastructure that meets FIFA’s highest standards.
The complex has also hosted the African regional office of FIFA, making Morocco a central hub for football development on the continent.

This record-breaking match adds to Morocco’s growing reputation in global football. With the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 set to begin in Morocco on December 21, the country continues to show its ability to host major international events and support the sport’s growth.
