Mohammedia – The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed today on a negative note. The main index, MASI, slipped by 0.71% to 19,268.4 points, while the MASI 20, which tracks the most liquid stocks, lost 0.81% to 1,572.31 points. The MASI ESG also finished in the red, down 0.97% to 1,300.29 points.

Overall market capitalization stood at MAD 1,017.83 billion, keeping the exchange above the symbolic one-trillion-dirham mark. The day’s total trading volume reached MAD 220.49 million, with the most active stocks being Alliances Développement Immobilier (MAD 47.59 million), Attijariwafa Bank (MAD 28.51 million), Itissalat Al-Maghrib (MAD 15.41 million), TGCC (MAD 14.82 million) and Résidences Dar Saada (MAD 12.51 million).

Among the best performers, Risma climbed 7.65% to MAD 419.90, followed by Auto Nejma with a 5.98% rise to MAD 4,875, Microdata up 4.22% to MAD 839, and Afma gaining 3.49% to MAD 1,335.

On the losing side, Minière Touissit suffered the steepest drop, plunging 9.99% to MAD 1,839. Maroc Leasing fell 5.72% to MAD 360.15, Salafin declined 4.01% to MAD 575, Involys slipped 4% to MAD 235.20, and Résidences Dar Saada ended down 3.33% at MAD 174.

Despite the dip, the market remains supported by solid fundamentals and steady investor confidence in Morocco’s medium-term economic outlook.
