Rabat– The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially launched its AFCON 2025 Diaspora Tour today in London, bringing the prestigious Africa Cup of Nations trophy to the continent’s global communities ahead of the tournament in Morocco.
The London stop is taking place at Below the Lights, Piccadilly Circus, offering fans and the African diaspora a unique chance to see the trophy up close. The event is free and open to the public, highlighting CAF’s effort to connect Africa with its diaspora worldwide.
Alongside the trophy display, the event features live cultural and musical performances, reinforcing that the Diaspora Tour is more than a sporting showcase — it is a celebration of African identity, heritage, and community. Artists such as Stonebwoy and ODUMODUBLVCK are performing, and football legends and diaspora ambassadors are attending, further underlining the event’s pan-African spirit.

CAF describes the tour as a way to “forge a bridge between the continent that creates legends and the diaspora that champions them,” sending a clear message: the AFCON trophy belongs to all Africans, wherever they live.
The London event is the first of the Diaspora Tour, with the next stop scheduled in Paris on December 4, 2025, at YOYO, Palais de Tokyo. These celebrations aim to build excitement and engagement ahead of AFCON 2025, which kicks off in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
