Egypt and Jordan face off on Tuesday at Al Bayt Stadium in their final Group C match, with Egypt needing a win to reach the quarter-finals. Jordan have already secured their spot at the top of the group with two wins from two. The Pharaohs on the other hand come into the game under pressure after two consecutive draws.

Only a win will guarantee Egypt’s progression, though a draw could still leave them relying on other results to advance.

Egypt team news

Egypt head coach Helmy Toulan has made it clear that he had “great confidence” in his team to “secure qualification for the quarter-finals”. With two draws so far — 1‑1 vs Kuwait and 1‑1 vs UAE, the Pharaohs remain second in Group C and must win to guarantee a place in the quarter‑finals.

Injuries: Karim Fouad out with a knee ligament damage.

Tactically: Egypt are expected to push forward more aggressively than in previous games — looking for control in midfield and creative runs from wide and attacking players. The pressure will be on to convert possession into goals.

Jordan team news

Jordan arrive with nothing more to prove. Their two wins from two in Group C guarantee them a quarter-final qualification and top spot in the group regardless of today’s result.

That said, head coach Jamal Sellami and his players are unlikely to just roll over. With good attacking momentum (five goals in two matches), Jordan will use this game to test squad depth and finish the group stage strong.

Injuries: None reported.

Tactically: Jordan shold rotate but remain balanced. A mix of defensive solidity and quick transitions, capitalizing on counter‑attacks and spaces behind Egypt’s defense if they commit numbers forward.

  • Score prediction: Egypt 2–1 Jordan
