Rabat — Cairo will host the Middle East and Africa’s first major artificial intelligence summit, Ai Everything MEA Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The event, scheduled for February 11-12 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, marks a defining moment in Egypt’s digital transformation and highlights the country’s growing influence in the global technology sector.

A national priority

Egypt’s government has placed AI at the center of its development strategy. The presidential endorsement signals AI’s critical role in driving economic growth, creating new industries, and preparing the next generation for emerging opportunities.

President El-Sisi recently reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to AI and ICT development during the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. He stressed the importance of expanding investment in technology while equipping youth with the skills required for industries of the future.

A regional and global platform

Presented by GITEX GLOBAL, the world’s largest technology and AI events network, Ai Everything MEA Egypt is organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).

The summit positions Cairo as a regional hub for innovation and a bridge connecting Africa, the Middle East, and global technology ecosystems.

More than 350 AI enterprises and startups from over 30 countries will showcase solutions across critical sectors, including smart cities, cybersecurity, fintech, digital payments, future mobility, and public services.

Several international organizations will enter the Egyptian market for the first time, reflecting the country’s growing importance as a gateway for AI-driven investment.

High-level dialogues

The summit will host local and international ministers alongside major global institutions, including the UN Development Programme (UNDP), UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the UAE Cybersecurity Council.

Discussions will focus on scaling AI infrastructure, strengthening governance frameworks, and developing policies and investment models to support sustainable AI growth. Experts will also examine responsible AI practices and strategies to maximize societal and economic impact.

Shaping the future of AI in the region

Ai Everything MEA Egypt is expected to be more than a tech exhibition. It represents a milestone in Egypt’s national AI strategy, positioning Cairo as a center where the future of AI in Africa and the Middle East takes shape.

The event offers a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and investment that could define the region’s digital economy for years to come.
