Morocco will conduct the national census operation for the 2026 military service intake from March 2 to April 30, according to a statement from the Interior Ministry carried by state news agency MAP.

The move comes as part of preparations for the incorporation of the next cohort of conscripts, scheduled to begin on September 1, in line with the instructions of King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).

According to the ministry, the central commission in charge of the military service census – chaired by a chamber president at the Court of Cassation – held a meeting on Wednesday at the Interior Ministry’s headquarters to determine the criteria for identifying young people who will be called upon to complete the census form for the 2026 intake.

The commission defined the selection criteria based on data compiled by the Interior Ministry, setting the framework for determining the number of individuals eligible to fill out the census form.

Following the approval of these criteria, authorities will finalize the lists of young people concerned, organized by prefectures, provinces, and district prefectures. Local administrative services across the country will then print and distribute census notices to those selected.

The Interior Ministry has urged recipients of these notices to complete the census form online through the dedicated platform, www.tajnid.ma.
