Casablanca – Rabat Business School welcomed its alumni, faculty and corporate guests today for a ftour RBS Gala at Hilton Garden Inn Casablanca.

The annual Ramadan gathering brought together the school graduates for an evening that combined entertainment, networking and recognition.

The event opened with a Dean’s List Award Ceremony, honoring students who demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication during their studies. These awards recognize hard work and encourage graduates to continue striving for excellence.

Speaking to Morocco World News (MWN), the school’s dean Nicolas Arnaud shared the two main reasons for organizing such events.

A deep sense of community

“RBS has grown a lot, but by nature and by design it remains a large family. Since we are a big family, we try to bring it to life by organizing events that allow us to meet and reconnect with that family. It is an additional opportunity to strengthen our sense of community,” he said.

And the second reason, he added, “is that we have a mission to be among the world’s leading international education institutions. We need the support of the entire community for that: partners, alumni, professors, and students.”

He continued, “Every time we undergo an audit, all these stakeholders meet with the auditors. The auditors need to see that the whole community supports the school, and that the work on these accreditations is not carried out by a small internal team alone.”

Following the awards, the gala continued with the ftour upon the call to Maghreb.

After the ftour, the Dean delivered a speech addressing the alumni and guests. He reflected on the milestones the school has reached since its founding.

In just 15 years, Rabat Business School has obtained two international accreditations: the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

He added that the school aims to achieve even more in the coming years, including a third accreditation, AMBA.

His remarks also highlighted the importance of maintaining strong ties between the school and its graduates, while celebrating their professional achievements.

The school has also appeared among the top 20 institutions in rankings published by Financial Times.

In addition, some of its professors were listed among the world’s most influential researchers, according to data from Scopus. These distinctions reflect the institution’s ongoing efforts to promote academic excellence and global impact.

Such milestones demonstrate the impact of the school’s vision to build a dynamic academic community connected to the professional world.

The Alumni Icons Awards followed the Dean’s remarks. These awards celebrated distinguished alumni who have made significant achievements and contributions in their professional careers.

Beyond academic training

One of the recipients of this award, Younes Oubi, business director of Solardeal company, shared with MWN the importance of strengthening the relationship between alumni. Even while holding a management and leadership position, he says, “this program allowed me to further strengthen my knowledge and skills in the field of management.

“Beyond the academic training, there is also a strong spirit of sharing that characterizes the program. In my work, I collaborate with colleagues and engage in international exchanges.”

With the recognition of both current students and alumni, the event went beyond celebrating individual accomplishments. It also underscored the school’s ongoing mission to foster leadership, professional impact, and meaningful connections between academic learning and career growth.

The gala concluded with musical entertainment, creating a lively and celebratory atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a mix of traditional Moroccan songs while networking and exchanging experiences. The combination of recognition, social interaction, and music made the evening memorable for all attendees.

The Ftour RBS Gala demonstrated the school’s commitment to nurturing a connected and accomplished alumni community. It served as a platform for celebrating both academic excellence and professional success. More importantly, it reinforced the value of maintaining lifelong connections between graduates and the school.
