Maghreb of Fes (MAS) superstar Soufiane Benjdida is currently at the center of doping allegations, leading the club to strongly denying what it describes as baseless rumors.
MAS’s swift reaction comes in response to reports circulating on social media claiming that Benjdida had tested positive in a doping test.
In an official statement, the club said that the information shared across several pages is untrue. MAS denied all reports suggesting that the player could face a possible suspension in the coming period, insisting that Benjdida has not undergone any doping test since the beginning of the current season when he first joined the club.
The situation has already created a lot of reactions online, notably considering the impressive season the striker is having with MAS. Benjdida is currently the top goalscorer of the Botola Pro, having netted 16 goals in 19 matches.
For the club, these claims are far from harmless as they may lead to unsettling the team’s internal balance at this crucial moment in the season. As a result, club officials have threatened to take legal action against those responsible for sharing this “misleading information.”.
As focus now shifts to their clash against Union Touarga tomorrow night, with the Botola Pro season approaching the end, one can only sit back and watch the title race unfold before our eyes, while Benjdida continues to play a key role in MAS’s’ impressive campaign.
