Fez – Morocco’s National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water, ONEE, and telecom operator inwi have signed a new strategic agreement aimed at accelerating the country’s digital transformation and strengthening national telecommunications infrastructure.
The partnership reflects a shared ambition to support Morocco’s digital sovereignty and improve the country’s competitiveness by 2030 through the development of high-capacity fiber optic networks across the Kingdom.
According to le 360, the agreement focuses on deploying a nationwide fiber optic infrastructure that will allow both institutions to pool resources and create new operational synergies.
The project is expected to support the modernization and expansion of telecom infrastructure while improving regional connectivity and territorial development.
The partnership also opens the door to broader cooperation in digital services, operational data management, cybersecurity, and network intelligence.
Both sides said they plan to introduce innovative solutions designed to improve service resilience, redundancy, and continuity.
Through this agreement, ONEE and inwi reaffirm their intention to support Morocco’s ongoing digital transformation and strengthen the country’s position as a regional hub for digital infrastructure serving citizens, businesses, and public institutions.
