Rabat — As Morocco prepares for the busy summer travel season, the National Railway Office (ONCF) has announced the launch of its special “Summer 2026” operational plan, aimed at accommodating the expected surge in passenger traffic across the country.
The initiative will run from June 22 to September 13 and include increased train services, promotional fares, and strengthened customer support measures for travelers, Moroccans residing abroad (MREs), and tourists.
In a statement, ONCF said it has mobilized its human, technical, and operational resources to ensure smooth, safe, and comfortable travel during one of the busiest periods of the year. The railway operator plans to run 237 trains daily across its network, with additional capacity deployed on routes expected to experience the highest demand.
Increased Services on Al Boraq, Al Atlas, and TNR Networks
The high-speed Al Boraq service will operate 30 daily round trips between Tangier, Kenitra, Rabat, and Casablanca from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., with hourly departures and reinforced capacity during peak travel periods.
Meanwhile, Al Atlas trains will provide 70 daily connections to support increased summer mobility. ONCF also announced additional overnight services on the Tangier–Oujda route and extra train connections between Safi and Benguerir.
For travelers using Mohammed V International Airport, the Rapid Shuttle Trains (TNR) will offer 36 daily services, with departures every hour between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. to and from Casablanca. Regular services on the Casablanca–Rabat–Kenitra, Casablanca–Settat, and Casablanca–El Jadida routes will continue as scheduled.
Discounts of Up to 30%
To support summer travel, ONCF is introducing several promotional offers tailored to different passenger categories.
A total of 250,000 YALLA AL ATLAS tickets will be available at a promotional fare of MAD 49, subject to advance booking.
The digital-only SAYFI Pass will offer a 30% discount on ten trips aboard Al Boraq, Al Atlas, and TNR trains during off-peak hours.
Moroccans residing abroad will benefit from the Ahlan Family offer, which provides a 30% discount and free travel for children. The package applies to journeys departing from Mohammed V Airport, Tangier, and Marrakech stations to destinations across Morocco.
ONCF will also introduce a new 31–59 Age Card, granting holders a 15% discount on Al Boraq and Al Atlas tickets. Group travelers will be eligible for discounts of up to 25%.
Additionally, through partnerships established by ONCF, train ticket holders will receive discounts of up to 30% at the Rabat Zoo, located near Rabat Hay Riad station, as well as on the “Train + Car” service.
To ensure the success of the summer operation, ONCF will strengthen reception, assistance, and guidance teams in stations and onboard trains. Technical teams will remain on duty around the clock throughout the period to maintain service reliability and operational continuity.
The railway operator also encouraged passengers to plan their trips in advance by purchasing round-trip tickets and using digital booking channels to avoid queues at stations.
