Morocco defeated Haiti 4-2 in another thrilling and stressful World Cup game, one that will once again make the national team a talking point across the football world.

Haiti opened the scoring against the Atlas Lions in a fast-paced and entertaining match. Lenny Joseph scored the opening goal in the 10th minute.

The game began with several changes made by coach Mohamed Ouahbi, who handed starts to Sofyan Amrabat, Redouan Halhal, Ayoub El Kaabi, and Anass Salah-Eddine.

During the opening 15 minutes, the Atlas Lions pushed hard for an equalizer but struggled to convert their chances despite creating dangerous opportunities.

The match opened with intensity, with both teams eager to take control. Haiti appeared organized and determined, staying true to coach Sébastien Migné’s promise that his players would do everything possible to make their people proud despite already being eliminated.

The performance was balanced, with Morocco attacking from both flanks. Haiti, meanwhile, understood the challenge ahead and knew that competing strongly against the Atlas Lions could earn them admiration far beyond the tournament.

Morocco continued to press and came close to scoring in the 29th minute after a series of dangerous attacks.

Achraf Hakimi eventually found the breakthrough in the 39th minute, scoring Morocco’s first equalizer in the Atlas Lions’ final Group C match against Haiti.

Minutes after Hakimi’s goal, Haiti struck again to restore its lead. Wilson Isidor earned widespread praise for another impressive display as Haiti continued to challenge Morocco.

Ismael Saibari, however, scored Morocco’s second equalizer, bringing the Atlas Lions level once again.

Saibari continued his outstanding 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign. With his goal against Haiti, he became the first Moroccan player to score in three consecutive World Cup matches.

In the second half, Morocco finally took the lead when Soufiane Rahimi scored the Atlas Lions’ third goal of the match.

Yassine Gessime scored the fourth goal for the national team in the last minute of the game, strengthening the national team’s position.

Mistakes were there, but Morocco remained dominant in possession and continued to create chances throughout the game.

The Atlas Lions were backed by thousands of Moroccan supporters, who filled the stadium with chants and flags. Commentators estimated that at least 49,000 Moroccan fans attended the match.

Throughout the game, supporters repeatedly sang famous chants such as “Sir” (Go) and “Dima Maghreb” (Forever Morocco), creating an electric atmosphere as Morocco secured its place in the knockout stage.
