Rabat – Morocco’s weather will continue to experience hot weather in addition to thunderstorms, hail and potential strong wind gusts.
The Directorate General of Meteorology issued a new weather alert today, forecasting temperatures up to 46 degrees Celsius for several provinces.
Temperatures ranging between 44 and 46 degrees are expected in the provinces of Zagora, Tata, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Es-Semara, Aousserd, and Oued Ed-Dahab.
During the same period, temperatures of 41 and 44 degrees are expected in the provinces of Kenitra, Taounate, Meknes, Fez, Moulay Yacoub, Khemisset, Sidi Kacem, and Sidi Slimane.
The same weather will affect Khouribga, Fquih Ben Salah, Settat, Youssoufia, Rehmana, El Kelaa Sraghna, Chichaoua, Marrakech, and Taroudant.
Meanwhile, the provinces of Larache, Sale, Rabat, Skhirate-Temara, and Nouaceur will see temperatures range between 38 and 41 degrees.
The same weather will also affect Casablanca, Mohammedia, Berrechid, Benslimane, mediouna, El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Essaouira, Safi, Ouezzane, Khenfira, and Beni Mellal.
Thunderstorms with 5 to 25 millimeters will affect the provinces of Taourirt, Jerada, Tinghir, and Zagora on Wednesday.
The weather alert expects a potential of hail and strong wind gusts.
