Agadir – Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the Sultanate of Oman have condemned the terrorist plots recently foiled in Morocco, reaffirming their solidarity with the country and praising its security services for preventing the planned attacks.

In a statement, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the country’s “strongest condemnation and denunciation” of the terrorist plots that sought to undermine “public order and the safety of people and property” in Morocco.

The ministry reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with the Moroccan “government and people,” while expressing its “complete rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism, as well as any attempts to destabilize the security and stability of Morocco and its brotherly people.”

Riyadh also praised the professionalism of Morocco’s security services, commending their efforts in “safeguarding national security and swiftly foiling the cowardly terrorist plots.” The kingdom concluded its statement by wishing Morocco and its people continued security, stability, and prosperity.

Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs likewise condemned what it described as the “criminal terrorist plots” targeting Morocco’s security and stability.

It commended “the efficiency and vigilance of Morocco’s security and intelligence services” in foiling the plots, identifying those involved who were linked to ISIS’s branch in the African Sahel region, and taking legal measures against them.

Bahrain further reaffirmed its “full solidarity” with Morocco and its “complete support” for the measures Rabat has undertaken to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, security, and stability, protect its citizens and residents, and preserve its national achievements.

It said this position reflects the longstanding fraternal ties between the leaderships and peoples of the two countries.

The statement also reiterated Bahrain’s firm stance against violence, extremism, and terrorism “in all their forms and manifestations,” calling for stronger regional and international cooperation to combat terrorism and cut off its financial, ideological, and organizational sources.

The Sultanate of Oman also voiced its condemnation of the terrorist plots.

In a statement, Oman’s Foreign Ministry affirmed the sultanate’s solidarity with Morocco and its support for the measures Rabat is taking to “protect its security, territorial integrity and society.”

Muscat further renewed its “firm position rejecting all forms of violence, extremism, terrorism and incitement to them, whatever their motives or justifications.”

The statements come after Morocco’s security and intelligence services dismantled an alleged ISIS-linked terrorist cell that had been planning coordinated attacks across several Moroccan cities.

According to Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), the operation led to the arrest of multiple suspects and the seizure of weapons, explosive materials, and logistical equipment allegedly intended for use in terrorist attacks.
