Rabat – Saudi side Al-Taawoun announced on Saturday the arrival of Moroccan forward Younes El Bahraoui, who joins the club on a three-year contract that includes an option for a fourth season.
The club presented the move as a step toward the future, with a message that highlighted the player’s determination to embrace a new chapter and contribute to the ambitions of the “Wolves.”
Al-Taawoun described the signing as the beginning of a story built on passion, commitment, and a desire to reward its supporters.
At 21, El Bahraoui stands among the most closely watched young attackers in Moroccan football. His recent spell with Kawkab Marrakech helped raise his profile, as he delivered four goals and three assists during a loan from Renaissance Berkane.
Those performances did more than boost his numbers; they confirmed his ability to influence games and drew attention from clubs beyond Morocco.
His path has also crossed the international stage. Appearances with Morocco’s U20 squad have reinforced his reputation as a forward with sharp instincts and room for growth.
Al-Taawoun see in him more than a prospect. The club expects him to strengthen its attacking line and add depth to a squad that aims for a stronger presence in domestic competitions next season. The move reflects a broader intent to invest in youth while maintaining competitive ambition.
El Bahraoui will not lack familiar faces in Saudi Arabia. He joins fellow Moroccans Abderrazak Hamdallah and Achraf El Mahdioui, a presence that could ease his transition and support his development in a new football environment.
