Rabat – Football star Harry Kane admits that England reached the semifinal but only showed their best in flashes.
The 32-year-old player confirmed that although his team’s performance is good, there are things that must be improved in order to be able to win the World Cup.
“We need to show the best version of ourselves. I still feel that there are levels that we can reach as a team that we have not reached yet in this tournament,” Kane said at a press conference.
Harry Kane continues his preparations with the third Lions, trying to improve what they may consider not their best strengths.
“We need to be at our very best both defensively and offensively,” said Harry Kane. “We come off the back of a really good win, but still room for improvement, and I think this is the time to show it in a big quarterfinal game,” he added.
Harry Kane also talked about England’s experience in previous World Cups in comparison to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“In the 2018 World Cup, we did not have many expectations,” he said. “Now we are more prepared for this situation; we have players who play in big clubs, and I will use my experience as well,” he added.
England will meet 2022 champions Argentina on Wednesday, July 15 at Mercedes-Benz in Atlanta.
